In the joyful, bustling atmosphere of the start of the new academic year, the CHRONORIA 2026 welcome program for new students, themed “Timeline – The Journey of the Gears,” took place on September 8 at Hall A2 of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT). The program marked a memorable milestone and opened the first door on the journey to conquer knowledge, conveying the emotions, hopes, and youthful aspirations of the D26 freshmen of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting 1.

Attending the program were Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Vice President of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology; leaders and lecturers of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting 1, guests, representatives of partners and businesses, and a large number of D26 freshmen.

In his welcome speech, Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien congratulated the new students and welcomed them as official members of the PTIT family. He also emphasized the strong transformation of finance and accounting in the digital era, as artificial intelligence (AI), data, Fintech, blockchain, digital assets, and digital economy models gradually shape the future of the profession. In response to these trends, the Institute continues to invest in and develop modern learning and practice spaces such as PTIT Edu Exchange, the Digital Economy Lab, and the Fintech Lab, enabling students to connect their professional knowledge with real-world practice. Students are also encouraged to take an active part in scientific research, technology projects, and collaboration with businesses from the very first years of university. Closing his speech, Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien expressed his expectation that the D26 freshmen will keep learning, building their knowledge, mastering technological skills, nurturing innovative thinking, and strengthening their sense of responsibility to the community, step by step becoming high-quality professionals ready to adapt to and contribute to the future development of the finance and accounting sector.

Representatives of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting 1’s leadership shared meaningful messages about the Faculty’s four training programs, portraying them as four strategic pieces that connect to run a modern finance-and-data machine. Each program has its own identity, yet all share the goal of training professionals with solid expertise, creative thinking, and the ability to adapt to the changes of the digital age.

One of the highlights of CHRONORIA 2026 was the House Sorting Ceremony, in which the four programs were introduced through four “Houses,” each with its own character and values: House of Wisdom (Accounting), House of Innovation (Fintech), House of Excellence (ACCA), and House of Insight (Data Analytics). More than a symbolic beginning, the ceremony gave freshmen the chance to discover their identity, pride, and sense of belonging within their field of study.

The atmosphere grew livelier with outstanding performances by student clubs and teams. The program also took time to honor top entrance scorers, top graduates, and students with outstanding achievements in academic and sports competitions, recognizing the efforts, resilience, and drive for self-improvement of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting 1’s students.

The program was especially notable for its inspiring stories and messages from Nguyen Chi Tien, top graduate of the Fintech program, and Dr. Le Thi Anh, Founder and CEO of the Le Anh Academy practical training system and a lecturer at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting 1, PTIT. Leaving his home in central Vietnam to study alone in Hanoi, and overcoming challenges to become a top graduate, Nguyen Chi Tien conveyed a message of perseverance, resilience, and pursuing one’s dreams. His story gave the D26 freshmen fresh motivation to step confidently into university life, seize opportunities proactively, and keep improving themselves. Following him, Dr. Le Thi Anh offered her perspective on studying finance and accounting in the technology era, stressing the need to combine professional knowledge with technological application skills, data thinking, and adaptability to the transformations of the digital economy. This gave the freshmen further direction in building their learning foundations and getting ready for future career opportunities.

The emotional journey concluded with “The Chrono Ignition” ceremony, in which Faculty leaders and student representatives from the four programs took part. The moment the gears were set in motion symbolized connection, companionship, and the smooth coordination among the programs as they together open a new university journey full of expectations and opportunities. The program ended in a joyful atmosphere as all D26 freshmen gathered for a group photo to keep the memorable moments.

CHRONORIA 2026 was a success thanks to the attention and guidance of the Institute’s leadership, the support of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting 1’s leaders and lecturers, and the backing of guests, partners, and businesses. The program’s success also reflects the efforts, careful preparation, and enthusiasm of the student clubs and teams, the Organizing Committee, and the team of volunteers.

As the opening activity of the new academic year, CHRONORIA 2026 not only offered memorable experiences but also helped D26 freshmen begin to familiarize themselves with their learning environment, nurture pride in their field of study, and strengthen their bond with the Faculty community. From the very first gears, a new journey has officially begun: a journey of knowledge, aspiration, and the marks of youth at PTIT.
