Following nearly three months of rigorous competition, FINNOVA 2026 drew to a successful close, leaving an indelible imprint through its ethos of pioneering innovation, empirical problem-solving acumen, and visionary initiatives championing inclusive and sustainable finance. Notably, undergraduates from the Financial Technology (FinTech) program at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) were represented across all four finalist teams, achieving an extraordinary clean sweep of the podium by securing every major accolade from First Prize to the Consolation Prize.

The Trajectory from Conceptual Ideation to Empirical FinTech Solutions

FINNOVA 2026 was structured across four progressive phases: portfolio screening, direct panel interviews, mentorship intensives with industry specialists, and on-site enterprise project implementation. Through each successive round, contestants not only refined their conceptual frameworks but were also immersed in substantive challenges within the financial technology sector, thereby honing their product development acumen, collaborative dynamics, and agility in meeting corporate industry standards.

During the Grand Finale, the delegations presented actionable solutions to empirical FinTech problem sets, followed by defense sessions and debate rounds before an esteemed Board of Adjudicators. This stage constituted not merely a test of academic and domain competence, but an assessment of analytical synthesis, critical inquiry, and the capacity to persuasively substantiate pragmatic, commercially viable architectures.

PTIT Undergraduates Represented Across All Top Four Delegations

At the final stage, PTIT FinTech undergraduates established a commanding presence by earning placements across all four prize-winning delegations of the competition.

Do Quoc Dung (Cohort D23 FinTech), representing team High Five, secured the prestigious First Prize at FINNOVA 2026 with the project “O cho ganh.

Pham Thi Ly (Cohort D22 FinTech), a member of team Alpha Fin, earned the Second Prize with the project “Hu song vung”.

Claiming the Third Prize, Nguyen Minh Tam and Luong Thien Phuc (Cohort D22 FinTech), alongside team Inclusio, distinguished themselves with their initiative “Ung tien Hang” (Vendor Working Capital Advance).

Concurrently, Ha Gia Khanh and Nguyen Phuc Anh (Cohort D22 FinTech), representing team Finnotech, were awarded the Consolation Prize for their project “Vay xuat khau lao dong” (Migrant Labor Financing).

The ubiquitous representation of PTIT undergraduates across all four podium-finishing delegations underscores their capacity to synthesize theoretical finance and emerging technologies to address substantive market dynamics. While each project targeted a distinct socioeconomic problem set, all converged on architecting viable, high-utility financial solutions aligned with tangible community needs.

An Imprint of Applied Intellect and Innovative Ethos

The accomplishments realized at FINNOVA 2026 not only attest to the specialized proficiency and inventive acumen of PTIT FinTech undergraduates, but also substantiate the efficacy of an experientially anchored pedagogy—one that empowers scholars to proactively resolve substantive market dynamics while still within academia.

From conceptual models formulated during academic coursework to pragmatic solutions defended, refined, and stress-tested within a competitive industry environment, PTIT students are decisively demonstrating their adaptability to the evolving imperatives of the digital finance ecosystem. This crucible establishes a foundational pillar, enabling these future professionals to continually sharpen their innovative faculties, technical competencies, and professional fortitude as they ascend into high-caliber talent driving the next-generation FinTech landscape.
